Book of Longing is a cycle of melodies for musical ensemble, singers and narrator. Composed by Philip Glass on Leonard Cohen’s texts, the songs approach the favourite songwriter’s  subjects: the self-mockery, the love desire, the spiritual quest…

Outcome of years of mutual admiration on both sides, the work was created in 2007 but is new in France.

Combining pop concert, cabaret and opera, the PTYX musical ensemble (10 musicians, 4 singers) will propose the first french audition of this magistral co-working.
